Stability AI has joined the Tech Coalition as a full member, the company announced. The Tech Coalition is a global alliance of technology companies formed to combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Stability AI said the company had previously participated in the coalition’s Pathways program in 2025. That program, according to Stability AI’s announcement, provided industry guidance and peer insights to help the company strengthen its integrity and safety practices. Full membership, the company stated, reflects what it described as the maturity of those practices.

The announcement did not specify which companies are currently members of the Tech Coalition, nor did it provide metrics or third-party assessments of the effectiveness of its child safety program. No executives were quoted in the announcement beyond the company’s general framing.

Stability AI said membership will enable it to “contribute our experience and insights to the broader community” while continuing to learn from peers. The company linked to its dedicated safety page at stability.ai/safety for further information on its approach to responsible AI development.

The announcement came following Safer Internet Day, an annual awareness event organised by organisations including Insafe and INHOPE to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology, particularly for young people.
